صعد الدولار، الأربعاء، مستفيدا من مكانته كملاذ آمن في ظل احتمال التخلف عن سداد الدين في الولايات المتحدة، إذ قلص المتعاملون مراهناتهم على أن يخفض مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي (البنك المركزي الأميركي) سعر الفائدة قريبا في أعقاب إعلان بيانات الإنفاق الاستهلاكي.
ويقترب الرئيس الأميركي، جو بايدن، ورئيس مجلس النواب الجمهوري، كيفن مكارثي، من التوصل لاتفاق بخصوص رفع سقف الدين الأميركي، لكن لم يتم التوصل لشيء ملموس بعد.
وصعد مؤشر الدولار 0.3 بالمئة إلى 102.96 مقابل سلة عملات رئيسية وهو أعلى مستوى منذ مطلع أبريل.
وزاد الدولار 0.4 بالمئة مقابل الين الياباني إلى أعلى مستوى في أسبوعين عند 136.99 ين، وصعد 0.5 بالمئة مقابل الإسترليني إلى 1.2422 دولار، وهو أعلى مستوى منذ 26 أبريل.
